Opt-Out Resources

Opt-Out Pre-Screen

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) you have the right to "Opt-Out" of receiving pre-approved (firm) offers of credit or insurance. If you choose to Opt-Out you will no longer be included in pre-approved (firm) offer lists provided by the credit reporting agencies, therefore, reducing the pre-approval mail solicitations and junk mail you receive.

The Opt-Out website will provide instruction on how to:

  • Opt-Out from receiving Pre-Approved (firm) offers for five years
  • Opt-Out from receiving Pre-Approved (firm) offers permanently

A recovery advocate can provide general instruction and education regarding the Opt-Out process but cannot complete the required steps on your behalf.
